Be honest, who actually enjoys watching the band at halftime?

Our band has improved greatly over the last few years but they are just straight boring.
And the announcer guy, Dr. Randazzo, yelling over the loudspeaker telling us when to chant "go cocks"? I mean come on man, what is that? You don't have to give us a history lesson about each song every single game.

I would rather watch other games on the jumbotron or just sit in silence.

If the band didn't play at halftime, their relevance and funding would disappear. They are growing and bands playing at halftime is a tradition. I like what the Panthers do in that they have "shows." My favorite is when they bring the Pop Warner teams and let them scrimmage. Panthers also have Purrcussion, the drum line that plays during the home games.

This past game, whoever led the band did an awful job. He/she let the band play continuously when we were on offense and breaking the huddle.

Forgot about that, good point. It was noticeable for sure.

Our band is so lame. I'm not asking for an Ohio State like performance, but I am getting tired of these tribute shows to QUeen and Journey that have been done a billion and one times.
Even when they come up with a decent idea such as the 007 theme this past game, they totally blow it on execution with those videos.

Its better than it was and the angry birds in 2011 was pretty cool.

Got more brass and percussion the past few years which I've been saying we needed since I was in my middle school band a decade ago. It really boggled my mind to see so much woodwind in the past

That said if we could do some shite like SC State did in '07 I would enjoy it a lot more, although I'm sure its unrealistic to hope for, let alone expect that.

Haha, that's Professor Randazzo, he teaches constitutional law. He's a lawyer so yea, he talks a lot.

Sat in student section right next to them at the game. They for sure help in leading cheers but sometimes they played when the offense was trying to line up for us and they needed to stfu and be quiet. not have students get loud chanting
