That was a hard game to watch. Bentley was hitting receivers in the hands 40 yards away, and they just couldnt catch it. Even Shi Smith, our most sure handed receiver got hit in the head by a ball and let it drop. Tough game.

Still think we are on the right path. We are getting more and more talent, and after this year, we will be replacing an almost talentless 2015 class with a great 2019 class which overall boosts our blue chip ratio (talent level average) up by ALOT.

More talent and more consistancy at coaching, and we have a squad. people that talk about firing their coaches 3 years in are idiots. They dont understand how this process goes. Be patient everyone.

Also, we just lost to the three same teams we did last year so far. all 3 are better than they were last year. we cant get down on that. Just gotta finish strong, and we still look like a 7-8 win finish depending on makeup game.

Go Cocks!

Call me crazy, but if we can correct our mistakes (drops, turnovers and penalties), I feel we have a punchers chance against Clemson.

In fact, I think we can play with everyone on our schedule if we correct those things.

Here's the questions I just have.
I'm not worried right now. It's early, historically we are known to be like this with a new coach.

I just hope Will has learned from his mistakes at UF. Clearly we need more talent, but he had that at UF (and probably more talent than us as you saw how many guys went in the first round), had a nice one 11 win season and then did not do too well after that. So I'm going to just sit an wait.

So frustrating to know we are so close. Getting out of our own way has been the biggest flaw of this team.

Just hope people will be patience. We have a very tough schedule next year. We could possibly be playing 3 of the 4 teams in the playoffs. BAMA, UGA and Clemsun.

Yeah next year’s going to be rough for us as well, we have all three of these on the schedule plus now it looks like LSU is getting good

Yea but if we frick around and win one of those games itll be a huge step for us. Just a fun little stat for you.

When Muschamp came in our Blue chip ratio (4/5stars over total scholarships) was around 15-17 percent. This is around what Kentucky is usually at. Its bad.

2 recruiting classes later he has doubled it to 31%. With the 2015 class leaving and the next one coming in, itll jump to 37percent, then if the trend continues, around 43 percent by 2020.

43% is above where Florida and A&M are now. For reference, no one has won the Natty under a 55%. But the 40s are still VERY good and where we were around the Spurrier era. by 2021 we could be in the 50s.

As a summary, we are heading swiftly in the correct direction. result on the field will come its just very early. Dabo and Spurrier had around 4-5 years before the results started showing on the field.

oh my head is up.
I don't mean it when I'm saying I'm broken.
I just like making people feel uncomfortable about it.

It's just a game.

I don't inherently disagree, but fixing those issues is a coaching problem. The team, especially at its skilled position, is all Muschamp players. Many are in year 3 of this staff's tutelage. They're not freshmen making mistakes, they're largely juniors.

I don't expect Muschamp or his staff to get these issues corrected. It's well past time to have realistic expectations about this program moving forward. I'm talking 6-6/5-7/7-5 style expectations.

And I want to be clear- I'm not advocating for Muschamp to be fired. He is who he is, and he's been hired to dig Carolina out of massive mess. I just think enjoying the atmosphere of a fall Saturday, expecting a loss/moral victory rather than actually competing for titles of any kind is more mentally healthy than thinking this team is likely to win meaningful games anytime soon.

Enjoy this stuff for what it is. A game that the Cocks are not likely to win, but still more enjoyable than going to work on Monday.

We need a four game winning streak going into the Clemson game. Not an impossible task.

Tennessee showed some improvement with a win over Auburn, but I still don't think they are any good.

Ole Miss had to come back against Arkansas, but their defense is the weak spot. I think we can get a win there.

UF will be tough. They are playing better as of late, and the Swamp is always a hostile environment. This could be a signature win for the season if there is such a thing.

Chattanooga should be no problem.

Also, how good is Clemson? Defensively, they are very good, and they have good skill guys on offense, but Trevor Lawrence is no Deshaun Watson at this point. He is a great passer, but if we can get some pressure on him, he doesn't have the escapability that Watson had. Definitely not saying we win by any means, but I think it will be closer than most expect if we can fix our issues. Guys were open Saturday - just didn't make the plays.

Also, being overlooked a little, but Fenton dropping that INT in the 4th Quarter was huge. We really needed to keep them off of the board there.

I'm not sold on Tennessee. Auburn is insane, when they lose 2 early, and are completely out of the running for the West, they just break down. Its like they dont care anymore. Its an embarrassing culture their coach has nurtured and it gave a bad Tennessee team the win. We beat them, ole miss, Nooga giving us our bowl, then 7 if we remake Marshall.

7 wins is good for this team tbh. 8 for a possible bowl win.

If we beat Florida though, that would be HUGE for the program. Winning in the swamp on a surging Florida team would be the win Champ needs.

We get UTjr at home too.

So I'm not all that worried.
