20 and 21 class have been very defense heavy and basically getting close to the end of filling all the holes. Jmo either Grantham gets it done at least on D or he gone. What say u guys on that subject?

I dont Mullen attached at the hip with Grantham. Idk I'm curious to see what changes are made this yr I guess. On both sides it's an exciting yr ahead.

Mullen should have already cut ties with Grantham and Hevesy the defense and offensive line has not been the better groups on this team if they both don't improve significantly this coming season he needs to send both packing.

Offensive line was a problem last year? News to me.

I think It will be even better next year the OL I mean. Agree with Grantham but I'm being positive and trying to be objective. 2/3 years he had what a top 15ish D. Cant control it.

Good thing the young guys he's got no choice but to play em now
basically. Giving him 1 more year meh. I'll deal. So many people are quick to turn on Mullen but even w/ 3 L's to finish the year.

Idk I still enjoyed kicking Georgia arse. Actually putting on a great show in ATL. Watching the O average 40 a game etc

Idk bout yall but I'm excited for next year

If D doesn't improve with all the talent brought in from 19-21 classes. I see a full house cleaning on that side of the ball. New DC, new everything on that side of the ball.

Its been very noticeable that we have been defense heavy in recruiting. As I have stated before...the bench can be a great tool to motivate players...if they want snaps they have to prove it.

Our quality depth on defense has been mediocre and point out "quality". We had to play some frosh in the secondary who were not ready yet. Mullen loaded up on DBs and we will now the depth to sub if necessary.

I think Trey Dean will be a much better player in 2021 and Elam is an all SEC type guy with the experience he has had. Cox showed a good motor and desire to get to the QB...he knows that will get him better looks at the next level. We still need more LBs, but hoping Wingo will bust out. Black will be a good addition and I think he will be a tweener at LB and safety....the ability to cover TEs and RBs would be a welcome sight. Dexter learned all about facing SEC OL who had strong skill sets and his soph year should be much better. Carter is an experienced warrior and Moon is needed big time to give us more pass rush. 2021 is kind of unknown and I previously thought we would drop 3 to 4 games, but with the additions of transfers...maybe we will be better?

Also have to remember we also have Desmond Watson

That reported to camp at 6'5 and 432 pounds they want him to get to 375 before fall practice starts that guy could be a terror in the middle if he can get to 375.

If anyone can get him there it is Savage.

Agreed

Hoping for a breakout yr from Bogle or Diabate or both

Also a lot more pt for Hopper and Wingo

Also Dexter, Jalen Lee, Princely, Goods etc along with Shelton and Newkirk

Jaydon Hill I see as a baller this yr. Jahari Rodgers could be an absolute stud same for Ethan Pouncey or Kamar. We loaded at corner. Torrence, McDaniel, Collier, McMillon, Mitchell at safety. Some guys

Dean at Safety too. Hope Trevez can turn into a Chauncey type at slot CB or star

Boys we loaded on that back end and I didnt even mention Jason Marshall lol

I think Diabate has shown he has the goods and we will see what the others can do. Jaydon Hill was a liability last year but was forced to play because of depth...the snaps he has gotten can only help him. His problems werent because of effort, only because of experience. Bogle got some snaps also and be a good player.

I think we have to be patient with the defense that will have a lot of youth....they will be much much better in 2022.

Our defense will be better next year I feel very comfortable saying that. A lot of young talent to mix in now with the vets and a lot of Mac guys gone that never lived up to much in the secondary.

Our offense will take a hit but will be able to run better than we have since 2012 probably. Very talented backfield and a mobile QB will be very fun to watch next year.

Pump the brakes on next year, while I do think next year will see an improvement in the secondary, it might be 2022 to really see a killer defense

Didn't say killer. Said better than last year. From what it was, that does not mean killer.

Ok, agreed...but I see our team improving in 2022 and this year does have question marks...the good news is that the secondary is on the position groups that true frosh can be very successful. Ditto WRs if they put the work in. With as many DB newcomers we will have in 2021....at least one or two will prove they have the goods
