It sucks we lost College Baseball this season. What if you had a national voluntary tournament. Teams could have a week or two to practice and then have a huge double(or single) elimination tournament. Just ask schools to volunteer to host(if there is a surplus of volunteers then draw for it. Dont even have to name the winner the "national champion" just the national tournament champion. It really sucks for seniors and I think we should throw them a bone.

I kinda figured this was obvious

Seniors have paid their dues and typically have their best individual seasons. Some had to be backups till the guy in front of them graduated. They have put in 3-4 years of work to be the player they are when they are seniors. The vast majority arent moving on to the next level and are taking real world jobs. Many played their last game of baseball this season.

Considering they all got an extra year of eligibility, I'm not seeing it.

No sense for pitchers to risk injury when they haven’t played in three months

My completely uneducated guess would be that the guys in this category have already moved on from baseball and wouldn't participate in any tournament this summer.

Legitimate question. This would probably be the main concern

Sounds like a ton of injuries waiting to happen

Without the conditioning, and on going in season training it wouldn't work.

It's a great idea and I would watch every game. I was just looking for your thought process with the seniors because I was missing something.

Id be glued to my TV for sure. If they opened up the stands for fans I would definitely be there. I was a walk-on at Bama I know wed have been down to play(at least the guys that played when I was there). Pitchers would struggle but honestly I bet many guys have still been throwing some still.

BaseVOLS and bama should play a 7 game series to determine the best collegiate baseball squad.

It was pretty obvious that those two teams were the class of the conference and therefore the best in the country.
