I missed the game, but saw the box score indicated Chattanooga was a heavy run team with 35 rushing attempts and only 15 passing attempts.
So, what kind of offense does Chattanooga run? Anything similar to Auburn's offense? Hoping we were able to use that game as a bit of a scrimmage for Auburn.

Other than resting some players, I don't see any benefit from the UTC game as it applies to facing AU this weekend.

I hope that it was a chance for players to get back to some fundamentals that we forgot during the Miss State game, like how to hold on the football among others, and get our minds right for AU.

I think it benefits the defense's mentality. It also helps players be where they should be.
But there is a world of difference between running offenses.

Looks like they do run zone read with some similar concepts as Auburn and run it pretty well at their level. Even if not the same as Auburn's zone read game (and obviously not at the same level) don't see why seeing that in live game action wouldn't help the Alabama defensive preparation. Better than facing a FCS team running a pro style offense or spread passing attack.

Agree I think it helped tremendously. The DEs have it in their mind that they need to contain instead of trying to chase down the RB everytime.
