No, my issue is because Grant is different than some people, we should be ADULT enough to accept that instead of being derogatory & using terms like "it" & "mentally ill".

Body dysmorphia is a mental illness, whether it takes the form of anorexia/bulimia or someone who thinks they identify as the opposite sex. What's illogical is we provide mental health counseling for the former and do the exact opposite with the latter.

I'm actually Napoleon. How do YOU know I'm pretending?

Was Napoleon a fricking moron? Because if he was then you fit his description. Of course, he could have been a trans, having his hand in his shirt trying to adjust his bra.

From the reactions, most of you see the world as "black & white" while ignoring all the shades of grey that exist as well.

Absent very rare genetic abnormalities, there are no shades of grey scientifically to define if someone is a man or a woman. You either were born with XX chromosomes (female) or XY chromosomes (male). Period. If we follow science, we don't get to choose what gender we are. Our human biology tells us what gender we are.

It's honestly amazing to me. I'm not that old (37), and had you told me in high school that gender identity would actually be a controversial topic in my 30s I would have laughed. What we see now written on this subject would have been satire in the not too distant past.

They argue preventing suicide is why they allow these surgeries and that there were historically closeted trans that killed themselves because of it.

I'm pretty sure the suicide rate for post-op transexuals is just as high or higher. Emboldening this movement doesn't quell the suicide rate, nor does it actually address the root of why the person is suicidal. And there are plenty of articles readily available of those who went through the surgery and the regret they had thereafter. No to mention, there can be a whole lot of sometimes lifelong health issues caused by transition hormone therapy.

That’s why I highlighted the suicide rate today versus when this was “closeted”. If what they claim is true, the suicide rates should be reversed of what they are. They aren’t because we live in a society of mentally ill people that are loaded up with prescription narcotics, seek “therapists” that do more harm than good because of they let their political views interfere with their care, etc. It’s a joke and will only stop with harsh opposition.
