Reading through the first few pages of each of the pinned threads when the hire was announced is all I need to know. The rest is just posturing and self-convincing.

I was meh about the hire at first. But he's been very successful everywhere he's been and he's a definite improvement over what we've had the last 15 years, so I'll give him a chance.
