What UTx really needed, and did not get, was Nick Saban. A surly midget who would tell all the boosters and what not to sit down, shut up, and enjoy the championships their checks have bought.

To succeed at Texas you have to either be a master level glad handler (Mack Brown) or an ill tempered dwarf that will beat the boosters into submission (Nick Saban).

I love, for example, what Pittman has done at Arkansas but I doubt he'd move the needle at Texas because they just would not buy in. They either need to have a strong hand at the reins or go through ten years of agony.
