Prior to Shane Beamer's press conference Tuesday in Columbia, Dabo Swinney shared a story of a time when Shane's son, Hunter, asked him for some Clemson gear & used to enjoy watching the Tigers play.
Beamer shared his side of the story today & it's worth a listen.

I would hate it for Carolina, but Virginia Tech should go ahead and grab him

He's made it quite clear he is staying at South Carolina. His kids were born here and it's home to him and his wife much more than Blacksburg. I don't think he wants to follow his dads legacy either.

I’ve got no idea how Beamer will turn out, but it’s my hope that if he does do well that he’ll reward us for being the one to give him a chance instead of going to a bigger program that might come calling (not unlike Dabo)

Shane Beamer is one of the most likable guys in the SEC. He will go down as a good hire for USC.
