Even if the ball touches the ground, as long as it's under the player's control it's a catch. 5 years ago it wouldn't be but under the rules currently it's a catch.

Securing the ball between your chest and the ground does not count. If it is secured while touching the ground and does not move, then you are good. This would have stood if it were called either way. No angle gave a definitive view to overturn whatever the call on the field was.
