Disappointed, but unbroken

And determined to never let that happen again.
At least, that's what I hope everyone on the team is saying this morning.
Congratulations to Bama, you earned it. As for the goals for the year, we're still very much alive in the east (thanks Ole Miss!)
We may not be national champions, but everything else is still on the table. Good luck Tigers! The Tide is for real and could definitely be playing for the championship come December.

I think you have to ? Richt and how he prepares his team at this point. They looked totally unprepared for a big time game like that

I agree with Dan, if anything they looked too jacked up. And the penalties that led to Bama first two drives after you had stuffed them really determined the game I think

UGA = no focus
UA = total focus
Now, maybe those black jersies will be shelved permanently.

i just posted this in another thread, but i think it might get lost in the shuffle so i'm going to move it over here because it fits better under this topic:
this one is still here. just got in late from athens last night and just woke up.
we got hammered last night, plain and simple. we got hit in the mouth early, shot ourselves in the foot with stupid penalties and alabama played a damn near perfect football game and i have to tip my hat to them.
however, it isnt all a wash i dont think. in my eyes, the silver lining was in the second half, we didnt roll over and we put just a little bit of pressure on alabama. if only that team would have showed up the entire game. i still think that we can finish the season 10-2 and win the SEC East as long as we can beat Tennessee and Florida, which isnt impossible at all. Our o-line has to gel still so we can protect against the big, physical SEC defensive fronts. We have to get Dannell Ellerbe back in the middle of the defense, i havent heard how long he is going to be out, just heard in richt's postgame show that he is going to miss some games, but not the season.
the fact of the matter is, every program has these games from time to time, granted it happens to us more times that it should (ie: tennessee last year). Georgia isnt as bad as we played in the first half last night and the season isnt over by a long shot. just got to bounce back with the off week this week and get after Tennessee at home in 2 weeks.
maybe i am flaming or have my red and black glasses on with this next comment, but the only team on our schedule that will be favored against us is LSU. I havent been overly impressed with Florida or Auburn at all, of course I'm sure they havent been too impressed with us either. but there is a long season left to go and i'm just going to still be in my seats in athens every week and then in jacksonville and auburn as well even if we come out and lose our next 7 football games. i love my georgia bulldogs and no embarrassment or debacle like last night will ever make me ashamed to say i am a georgia bulldog. period.

Valid point. I could have done without the whole team doing ESPN interviews the week prior.
I don't know if that's the whole story though. Richt can clearly motivate, and he's very good at getting the team prepared to play in opponent's houses. For some reason though we get our faces kicked in at home. Not sure what the answer is...

Also like the Sugar Bowl game a couple of years ago. UGA didn't bother showing up for the game against UWV until the second half.

my point exactly, blueridge.
you can also go back to the va tech game in the chick-fil-a bowl when they jumped us 21-3. granted we came back and won the game, but still we came out ridiculously flat. Now, dont get me wrong, i'm not coming after richt about not being a "big game" coach. we do win our fair share of big games, as a matter of fact, i would venture to say that we win more of the big ones than we lose but its just the ones that we lose, we lose so bad. and it stings. it really stings bad.
