We really didn't have many fancy places in Athens in the 80s . Seems like Harry Bissetts was the longest standing fancyish place. Some came and went. When the last Resort opened, it was fancy, but at the same time, relatively casual. Really was a pioneer of the gourmet chic places you see a lot now. I went there a good bit on my second tour in Athens. It was crowded for game weekends, but I rarely went at times there was a wait. I’m sure there a lot more places in Athens now. I still go back to my old spots if they are still open. Losing Rocky’s hurt. Loved that place.

This is why so many people love 5&10. It was really the first fine dining gourmet place that Athens had, it was celebrity chef Hugh Atchison's launch pad. When they started, it made Bissetts and Last Resort look like Applebee's.
