One clear stat that always matters when comparing

teams is points, since that is the bottom line. In conference play Dawgs are first in scoring with 40 points per game and first in defense with 7 ppg. UT is 3rd in scoring at 36 ppg and 12th in defense with 34.5 ppg. I know crap happens in football, but I like our chances, Dawgs will have to give this game away to lose. I do beleive UT will score, but Dawgs win 52-17.

Regardless of fancy offensive fads and crazy rule changes thr only that matters at the end of regularion is the point column.

UT basically lost all the other major stats vs Kentucky but the one that mattered.

If UT plays fast Dawgs will have more possessions, if defense gets stops. Maybe 52 is high, but KY scored 42, none the less this is not a good match up for UT.
