But he didn’t maliciously & deliberately kill someone. 2nd degree murder carries a 25 year term in Nevada.


Yes. And DUI involving death in Nevada is 2-20. What's your point? I never said he should be charged with murder.

Also, remember he's charged with a second crime. It's up to the judge to decide if the sentences are consecutive or not.

OP’s topic of Ruggs getting 26 years if convicted on all counts. OP’s assertion that 26 years isn’t enough time was what I was taking issue with.

ETA: No problem with discussing increasing sentences across the board for violent crimes, but with the current structure - comparative sentencing should matter, IMO.
