How did this translate to civilian life?

Honestly...other than basic computer knowledge and a TS security clearance, it didn't.

The leadership abilities I learned being a NCO was more of a benefit than my MOS was. Thinking outside the box, problem solving, team building, motivating etc. are all more valuable than any specific job skill.

Right but I'm sure being an NCO helps your resume a lot doesn't it?

I am leaning towards psyops. I'm not sure a 35 series would be anything more than getting reassigned to basic duties since we're no longer at war and a 35 series can't do much of their actual job if they're stateside. Yes I'm sure the 75th still goes to foreign countries, and while I can qualify age wise I'm not sure I could measure up to the physical elite.

Has anyone been 75th? If you are motivated and smart enough will they give you time to catch up physically? Or is are they actually trying really hard to physically weed people out?

And meanwhile even reserve psyops units are getting deployed to foreign countries, and they often get deployed to where we don't even have bases.
