No need to go hyperbole. We had missed out on like 4-5 by razor thin margins between 57 and 10.

That said, I could not be more happy Gus isn't our head coach anymore but he is responsible for some amazing moments and he definitely seems like a good guy so I see no reason to constantly bring him up in a negative light.

I've said this before. Gus had/has a philosophy to be simple on offense so you could be full speed coming out of fall camp at every position. We have a guy now in Harsin (and Bobo) who don't share that same philosophy. So unless you're really advanced for a football player or dynamically athletic, you're going to watch for a season or two for alignment, assignment and techique. That's it. Its just two different approaches. IMO, at UCF and their conference, I think Gus' approach can be very successful. I'm suprised by their lack of success so far, but maybe if nothing else its an example for why Travis Williams wasn't retained? UCF is 119 in total defense, and they didn't lose alot. Plus they picked up one-sack Bryant, who's an NFL All-Pro in his own mind.

Stick the needle in my arm for the new staff at AU.

I couldn't agree more. At the end of the day, all you can ask out of the players is that they play hard for the coaching staff. Under Gus I thought we always did. There may be other factors that limit program upside but playing hard for Gus and staff was never one of them IMO.
