If you check all of the accomplishments of both schools they are eerily similar. Add to that the proximity of the schools to each other and it's a miracle there is not more animosity.

It used to be a respectful, hard fought rivalry game. Programs and fan bases were, at one time, quite respectful. AU changed that with the Fairley game. Playing dirty with intent to injure and being cheered on for doing it is classless and disrespects the game.
