The SoS rankings always baffle me.
UGA has played two Top Ten opponents (at the time the game was played) and those teams are no longer Top Ten, in large part due to UGA beating them. That argument moreso for Arky than for Clemson, as they seem to have fallen apart.
Ranked 65 in SoS so far, yet having played two top ten opponents at the time the game was played is just a little fricky to me. That's all.
What other teams have have played and beaten two Top Ten opponents (at the time the game was played) at this point in the season? I'm not saying there aren't any out there, but the number is going to be pretty small.

Time of game rankings mean nothing. You can say it 100 times and it still doesn't matter. All you are saying is: "We played some hyped up teams that weren't as good as people thought". What matters is how strong the team you actually played was.
That's why rankings update every week, rather than being set in stone in the preseason.
UGA isn't alone in this "We beat them so they don't look as good" thing. The same things apply to everyone who wins a game.
However, the truth is actually the opposite often times. The teams that played you can still get a bump in strength even if they lose.

Clemson no longer being ranked isn't because they lost a one-score game against Georgia; it's because they are a hair's breadth away from being a 1-4 team. Clemson has only one win by more than a single score - South Carolina State.
Clemson is dragging down your SOS, legitimately so.

By that logic, Alabama has played 3 Top 15 opponents out of 5 games.
