Ya, but when you are winless and choose to not fly back with the team and are stupid enough to do something to create a huge distraction for the team (again, who is still trying to win their first game) - it creates questions in terms of competency

Esactly.
The players were laughing at him and his bullshite explanation. You just can't have that in an NFL locker room.
Of course, Meyer has had nothing but bullshite explanations for his frickery ever since Saban ran him out of the SEC.
