You do not understand the difference between requiring and the actual statistics by the Majors. You can also have 3000 hrs in a C-150 and the airlines are not going to touch you. There is a major shortage today of pilots, but they haven't dipped that far yet.

American Airlines has a flow agreement with all of their regional affiliates that doesn’t require a degree. Flow is 100% based on date of hire. United has never required a degree, although a degree is weighted. Frontier, Spirit, Sun Country, Allegiant, etc. all hire without degrees. All of them.
