No dumbass, you have to have the flight time. University of Phoenix and other Universities do not offer flight training. Trust me you do not know what the frick you are talking about. Those three Football players will be making 250K per year within 10 years of graduating from AU Aviation Program without having to depend on the NFL.

Did you know you can acquire flight time without ever stepping foot on campus of a University that has a flight school? Did you know you can earn your commercial pilot license in less than 6 months & acquire the required flight time to be an airline pilot in less than two years?

I don’t tell you what’s required to milk cows for a living. Don’t tell me what’s required to fly planes.

ETA: The vast majority of airline pilots didn’t graduate from a University flight program. They either have degrees in other fields of study, or no degree at all.

You can go to those quick courses, but you do not receive a BS degree. You can get all the ratings in the world but the Majors want you to have a degree. So those quickie course graduates usually end up flying for Commuter Airlines in hope of upgrading. Ask me how I know.

P.S Auburn's Program has a waiver from the FAA which allows their graduates to receive an ATP with 800 Hours of Flight Time (1500 normally required) and they have an agreement with Delta to hire their grads out of College. Ask me how I know.

80% of the Major Airline Pilots use to be trained by the military. That has changed the last 15 years, but they still require degrees and the proper flight time.
