Good afternoon, everyone! Here are the Power Rankings results from Week 3. Both the Community Poll and PR Voter Poll had exactly the same rankings. Great sets of minds think alike!

COMMENTS OF THE WEEK

Funny

quote:

Mississippi State Fan - do I really even need to say? Up next, an LSU game that will probably be a total train wreck for everybody involved.

quote:

Alabama Fan - Bama Almost died a slow death to the option Pillow fight against a team we shouldn’t have to play

Analytical

quote:

LSU Fan - Looked like a completely different team albeit against an overmatched opponent. Freshmen finally got the playing time they should have gotten all along, and the pass offense was great. DL was dominant again, LB and S improved. Need more touches for Kiner in the run game. We will see if the DL can perform at this level in sec play without Andre Anthony.

Kentucky played abysmally in week 3. We came out sluggish making constent errors on both sides of the ball. Levis looked flat. Our line got pushed around by an FCS team. All-in-all the team looked really uninspired and I feel like we won a game we should have lost. I really hope that this was a situation where they were sleeping at the wheel because they were just looking forward to South Carolina, because they looked like they weren't even halfway paying attention. South Carolina is going to be tough for us. It's a road game at night. They're going to be jacked because they are coming off a loss to UGA and will want to prove themselves. The fans will be excited and loud. Team stats are way off given the QB situation, so I expect that they'll be a much stronger team with the return of Doty. I felt a lot better about this game a couple weeks ago, now I feel that it's a toss-up. If both lines come out flat like they did last week, we lose this game.

PR VOTER COMMENTS

quote:

Arkansas…took car of business in week 3. Next up, Texas State Championship Game.

quote:

Arkansas plays three teams from Texas this year. Good news: Only the weakest one remains Bad news: Arkansas fans need to stay away from the thick moonshine they get offered in jars by "friendly" aggies

quote:

Hogs. In week 3 the Hogs did what they were suppose to do against an inferior opponent. Week 4 has the Hogs facing A & M. Two teams similar in several regards. Raw QB's, good RB's, good WR's, and strong D's. The weaknesses are at CB for the Hogs (they let WR's beat them a bit too much for my liking), and at OL for the Aggies. Both teams have solid to good ST's. Honestly, this game is a pick'em type game

quote:

The Texas Aggies Exercised complete dominance Over there cupcake last week. The next opponent is Arkansas, both teams have faced nothing but weak and FCS level competition up until this point. This week will determine who is the pretender.

quote:

Texas A&M - The defense fricks.

quote:

Alabama blasted to a 21-3 lead over Florida and then held on for dear life in a 31-29 victory at the Swamp. Alabama's defense looked horrendous over the last 3 quarters, but made a stop on a 2-point conversion to seal the win. Next up is a home game against Southern Miss. Will Alabama correct their defensive mistakes? We'll see on Saturday.

quote:

Georgia, we continue to dominate, please don’t wake me up…

quote:

Dawgs throttled the Gamecocks as expected. Some carelessness with the ball led to all 3 of Carolina's scoring opportunities. Likely something the team will hear about as we go forward (never a bad thing to have something to hammer on despite a win that was never in doubt). Up next: Punishment... Vandy elected to Covid cancel their way out of playing last season ending a streak of consecutive games played since 1968. New coach, but same athletic director. This game might get ugly. Starting to get guys healthy so hopefully will see at least a little bit of Darnell Washington and Tykee Smith as they come back from their respective foot injuries. Lastly of note: Don't look now, but George Pickens is looking like a return to the field for the Dawgs is not just possible, but likely... won't happen this week, but post bye week there's a good chance.

quote:

Florida - Proven they belong. Now gotta keep proving it.

quote:

Ole Miss - Won huge over a clearly outmatched Tulane team. On to the bye-week before Alabama.
