The magic portal is here to stay, so we do need some law and order to subsidize this new free agency in recruiting. 32 seems right for now.

I am sure the NCAA never suspected that teams would use the portal for their primary recruiting but many have. And just look at Michigan State from last season.

I see BAMA redefining how they do business on a much grander scale as well. Face it, these transfer guys are much more developed and proven, and guess what? They can't transfer again, so loyalty will be a premium with these guys.

I like the idea that NFL-bound kids don't count against the 7 additional recruits. Suspended kids shouldn't count. And players that are run off as well. Only players stepping into the magic portal of their own volition get replaced immediately.
