That game was very much influenced by the refs. A bad spot kept it from OT and ultimately won the game for Pitt but there were far more issues and bad calls than that. Tennessee should've won despite that but made too many mistakes - dumb penalties and turnovers.

Doesn't change the fact that they lost to Pitt @ home.
A Pitt team that lost to Western Michigan at home 44-41 the very next Saturday.
That doesn't fit most SEC teams definition of "playing well"
