I like how they mentioned that the claims that Petty was a groundskeeper were 'rumors'. He died four years ago, someone could have asked Petty.

Yeah, I totally got that feeling while Gameday people were trying to sell that. ESPN has gotten amateurish as hell lately.

Traditions have to start somewhere, but I agree this one feels overly manufactured.
