The geography and natural rec in and around Boulder are awesome. The homeless population is substantial and for many it’s a lifestyle choice, not a matter of genuine circumstance. A lot of folks there do have the “I’m cool because I live in Colorado/Boulder” vibe so that’s prob a lot of the rudeness encounters etc. It even goes to the point that living in downtown Boulder proper is a big deal vs neighboring towns that are 10-15 mins from downtown. I will say I like that the field is basically nestled right downtown with an open feel and there’s a strip of bars right across the street from the field. If you like beer, like hiking/camping/fishing, want to fit in a Red Rocks visit, and can tolerate the homeless crowd I’d say it’s worth a visit.

My ex mother in law went to that school and is from that area. She is one of the rudest, trailer trashiest bitches I’ve ever met in my life. We went there for a family reunion and her family is the same way. They have money too. They just choose to live and act like trash.
