I think the lists are bullshite, but for Alabama it is also an indication to some future problems. With 60% of the student body being from out of State, they are having to take some marginal students from inside the State. They are getting some pushback from the citizens/politicians of the State over these numbers and are offering those marginal students some money to keep the numbers at least tolerable. It is unsustainable and it is going to force the Administration to choose size or quality.
