To be very clear, 77-0 has nothing to do with the here and now. I merely questioned you post about OU throwing deep and running it up. IMHO, that didn't happen and the facts of the game support my opinion.
OU, as does every team, has embarrassing losses. I'd never hide from them, and I'd certainly never revise history about them.
What would you like to know about last week's game or the future? I'll give you my thoughts and you just let me know if there is anything specific you'd like my opinion on.
OU's OL needs to come together. Rattler needs stop being lazy with his fundamentals. Safety plan for OU is spotty. LB reads are not always strong. Offense needs more discipline in assignments and pre-snap penalties.
I don't generally worry much about opening games. Beating Tulane 40-35 after being up 37-14 at half is not very satisfying. Show's a lack of "foot on the gas".
As far as this season's future, I see OU about like always. Can win any game, can shite the bed. Might win the NC, might get blown out in the playoff. As has been the case, there is a lack of playmakers on defense, thin at RB for reasons, and the OL might not be good enough. Might win it all, probably won't. Most likely conference champs with possibility of not getting blown out in semi-finals.
That's about the best I can do after week 1.
