This isn't 1990. Schools recruit nationally. Proximity doesn't matter that much.

Both Texas and A&M's recruits mainly are instate. It is more a matter of pride to recruit instate for Texas schools than at other schools, least it seems that way to me.

Oklahoma has a strong profile in the state which will only grow stronger with the SEC. Jimbo has to show recruits that A&M is the place to be now or he may never have a chance like this again.
