Not even halfway through his original contract?
What was the purpose of doing a 10 year contract if you're just going to keep adding millions to the salary along the way?

Not sure the purpose, only Sharp can explain that. But it was likely done for optics, with regards to recruiting.
But we also know that it included provisions for salaries of asst. coaches, so that probably was a big part of it. You know how much we love Elko.
