re: Bobby Bowden started head coaching in 1959. From 1959-2020 where does he rank all time.

Context is always important.
FSU 13-season stretch:
5 2-loss seasons
8 1-loss seasons
1 undefeated season
Alabama 13-season stretch:
1 3-loss season
4 2-loss seasons
6 1-loss seasons
2 undefeated seasons
More or less identical, except for those 2-loss seasons being outside the top 4 for Alabama and being inside the top 4 for FSU.

FSU also finished #5 in 2000. Not sure what that does to Saban's numbers if you make it top 5 finishes instead of top 4
