I feel bad for defending state...
Public Universities in Florida have really low tuition rates. UCF's focus is not on research, it is a undergrad degree mill. Therefore, it has a low endowment.
UCF has a lot of buy in from local corporations. If you want to live in Orlando after college, UCF is a good option.

UCF has higher research expenditures than Ole Miss and is nearly on par with Mississippi State. LOL

UCF is a research university.
