The pod of A&M/tu/Mizzou/Oklahoma is probably the highest population pod. We matter the most, IMO. It’s 40 million people combined.

The pod of Louisiana/Mississippi/Arkansas is barely 10 million people.

Think about that. 4 times the amount of people. The main pod represents 80% of the western half of the conference. 80%. You think the SEC offices will give one flying frick what LSU ever has to say again? Not a chance. And let’s be honest. That’s good for everyone.

It’s happening, but most here can’t see the forest from the trees.

Everyone already watches SEC football in those locations, half of Houston went to LSU/are LSU fans, many in Dallas too. Not to mention, regardless of the team playing, the entire south is the "Population Pod" as for as game day exposure goes. If OU and UTw comes its purely for some extra money and to ensure real SEC teams have double chances at playoffs.
