Alabama vs. LSU puts a lot of eyes on this conference and surely produces lots of money. If Alabama and Auburn get moved to the SEC East, Alabama’s rivalry games are safe since Alabama would be in the same division as both Auburn and Tennessee. So the most logical permanent cross-division game for Alabama would be LSU given how often that game turns out to be one of the biggest games of the college football season.

Well if they put LSU in a division with OU, Texas, Texas A&M, MIZZOU, Arkansas, that leaves us with only Ole Miss and MISS State from the Charter members of the league.

LSU has a long history with Florida, Bama, Auburn. We also have one with UK, but when the new format in the early 2000's was put in place, we stopped playing them annually.

If we have to play the 7 teams in the new West, a permanent with Alabama is done. Heck we are loosing the Florida game and the Auburn game. Those 3 games, and the Texas A&M games have been the annual games that command the most ticket demand, obviously, the Bama, Florida and Auburn games given the history.

If LSU has to play the 7 teams in the West, and Bama as a permanent, then that means LSU sees the other 7 teams (Florida, Auburn, UGA, UK, SCAR, TENN, Vandy) every 8th year.

Just go 7 West and play 2 from the East and rotate them through over 4 years. LSU will see Alabama every 5th year.

So if you all go West and we keep divisions, LSU and Bama fans are going to have to play here because our teams are not going to play on the field but once every 5 years.
