It’s doesn’t matter if they could work, there should not be any cross permanent opponents…

Well, I understand but there is no way to have PODS that keeps all the games that involve Auburn, Bama, TENN, and Florida.

More than cross permanents, the one thing they should not do with a 16 team 2 8 team Division SEC, is have a Western Division with LSU/OU/Texas/Texas A&M/MIZZOU/Arkansas/Ole Miss and MISS State

LSU is now in a division with 5 of the old SWC/BIG8 and only 2 other charter members of the SEC.

So a POD system that avoids that scenario, which I would think the LSU Admin, TAF, and season ticket holders (I am one of those) would want to avoid more than the cross permanent.

Despite the scheduling issues with LSU having Florida and Bama along with Auburn whereas Bama with LSU and Auburn and TENN, I would rather keep for example Florida on the schedule as a permanent than play 7 games from that hypothetical Western Division and see Florida, Bama, Auburn once every 9 years.

I would also think teams like Bama, Florida, Auburn, UGA, etc would want to go to Austin and Norman even if they aren't too worried about loosing their annual game with LSU (i.e. Auburn, Florida and Bama).
