The Big 12 GOR buyout after next season is around $60-$100 million for each program. So really it’s a lot of money especially for programs who will get cut off from that level of resources going forward.

I think OU and Texas hope - expect? - that when they finalize the SEC offer that many of the other member schools in the Big-12 will see the writing on the wall and jump ship for the Pac-12, Big Ten, or ACC resulting in the necessary votes to dissolve the conference.
