Okay DSJ. Let’s see it then. How would you rearrange teams to make everyone play everyone they need to?

I wouldn't change a thing.

Texas has already ruined another conference. I don't want them ruining the SEC. They are only humble now because they suck. Give them a little winning, and they will be like Tennessee on steroids. And you think Alabama boosters are bad... get ready. The SEC already has a sizable chunk of the Texas TV market, anyway, with Texas A&M.

Oklahoma has the ego of Alabama without the natty's to back them up. They bring nothing to the conference and their TV market is not that great.

Now, for the pragmatics of this: no team in the SEC should want this to happen. It is already difficult for SEC teams to get into the playoffs because of our cannibalization of each other in SEC play. Adding two potential powerhouses to the SEC would make it that much more difficult, while the ACC and B1G will be the ones who can potentially put 2 teams into the playoffs every year.

This is an SEC money grab. The thought is that if they don't come here, then they will go somewhere else. So what. Let them. The SEC needs to protect the SEC. Bringing in these two schools will frick much of the SEC. I'd predict that within 10-12 years of bringing them in, you will see a break-up of the SEC.
