The State of Texas is bigger than Arkansas, MS, Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri and TN combined.
On top of that they are a national brand. They will always run the state of Texas.
I have a hard time believing they want to give up so much power and OU wants to give up the easy route to the playoffs.

It feels a little bit to me like Sark is involved with this in some fashion. He knows it’s best for Texas football to be with the big boys. It will boost recruiting etc. I know the road will be harder but I think sark is thinking Clemson, Alabama big for the future and probably doesn’t feel like he can do that in the big 12.
