While this may be true, there is some revisionist history at play, usuallyby Auburnfans.

Gus had several O-Linemen that were high stars commit or say they would only to jump to uga or others at the last minute.

He knew he needed an OL, he was just out recruited or outpaid. He didn't blindly ignore it.
