Coming out of the high school ranks Martin was rated the No. 16 kicker in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

I will say one thing: this is a low-key proof on how great the one-time transfer rule will be for power programs. Alabama has not been solid at punter since JK Scott left. Now they’re getting a 38 yards/punt to 46.1 yards/punt improvement in the field position game that would’ve never been possible before.
Punting ain’t sexy but JK Scott helped us a ton as a defensive tool to deny great field position consistently when the offense was stalling.

I haven't been in the defensive meetings with the new staff. But, it's starting to leak that attempting to actually stop the other offense may be part of the philosophy in 2021.

Special teams is such a huge underrated advantage for you guys.
I feel like a person could kick or long snap on the 2nd team for 4 years for Bama, and still get a shot at the NFL if Nick speaks up.

Saban killing this new transfer rule. Already cherry-picked a starting WR from Ohio State, one of the top ILB in the nation from Tennessee and one of the top 5 punters in CFB. Alot of folks are going to live to regret this new rule.
