Judging by the fan attendance, I'm guessing early 80s baseball was on par with summer league club baseball promotional nights. Had to try a little bit of everything. That said, you would have thought it would be a YellowHammer (sounds more like a bat). Cardinals are as common as Tigers for mascots. Very unoriginal
Wonder how long it lasted.
