But SCLib is right. The school shouldn't exist to cater to the Out of Staters. It exists for the locals. Full. Stop.

When USC goes out of its way to recruit others, many times those kids from Ohio and New Jersey don't leave. That changes the demographics of the state.

Oh I wasn’t trying to say it was a good thing. That’s just the reality of higher education economics when the federal government subsidies the entire cost.

Kids that would have been financially unable to go out of state can now go to the other coast on the federal government’s dime. And universities are taking advantage of that because they can charge more money for out of state tuition, even after offering a scholarship

Why doesn’t the state of SC do what the state of NC does regarding out of state to in state?
