Being a legacy here, coming off a huge year, and the risk of top players being too exposed with the larger jump in competition probably had a little to do with the decision as well (see Jaden Hardy).

The thing that seems lost among the "everything is fine" crowd is 3 months ago, Oats literally was talking about how we're being outbidded in the transfer and HS markets currently and need the NIL help. These claims/concerns aren't just coming from the results of this year's class.

Am I concerned that we will go back to being a middling program? No. It's just annoying af that we could being doing better and aren't right now.
