This should be an improvement over last night’s disaster.

I've often wondered if the size of a large NBA player's hand makes it more difficult to free throw. It seems like it would be like trying to free throw a soccer ball for them. I have large hands (but not comparable to theirs) and it seems it would be more difficult if they were bigger. just a thought.

The fact that you play ball for many hours a day and can't shoot 80% on FT blows my mind.
I hadn't shot a basketball in probably 10 years, and last year was in the school gym for an event and found a ball. Took about 5 practice shots to warm up, then hit 7 of 10 FT. These guys do it for hours a day.

You also did not have any pressure on you nor had fatigue from practicing or season..however I agree it doesn't make sense how some players who shoot all day are not better ft shooters, especially guards.
But your situation is not comparable at all

quote:You're probably right, but the most successful way to shoot a FT is underhanded (granny style). Many of the early basketball players were taught that way. If you use just your legs and wrists, you can lay the ball softly over the front of the rim (fewer moving parts).

Google Rick Barry shooting his, if you want to see perfection.
