he (Coker) came in that game off the bench and we mounted a decent come back but it wasn't enough

Tua didn't do that.

This we can all agree on.

Tua had a great half of football that none of us will ever forget in 2017.

But he never led a team the entire season to the national championship.

Jones did.
GMAC did.
AJ did x2.
Coker did(largely).

We all thought after 2017 that we were in for 3 NCs in a row and two heisman trophies.

So his era will be marked with incredible highs (2017), then controversy (Hurts), and ultimately a lot of flashy stats.

Tua's biggest problem was living to fight the next play--either from trying to do too much on one play (he was good for a few WTF? plays), or not knowing when to get rid of the ball to preserve himself.

Mac was very good at understanding this.

So the Georgia game doesn't count as a comeback? Tua brought the team back against LSU in 2019. The problem we were having that day, you might want to check with Pete Golding. If there ever was an issue with the 2019 team beyond injuries it was our DC being unable to stop a peewee football team when it mattered.
