He had the right to ask the question and Drink had the right to answer the way he did.I support his 1st amendment right to ask a simple question.

This isn't a 1st amendment issue unless the press or individual is being punished or restricted by a Government or state entity.

He wasn't arrested or jailed by the state. An individual called the question "stupid."

He has the right to ask any question. That doesn't mean that its ok to ask any question. It was a loaded question...a bait question. It was an agenda driven question that had no bearing on the event he was reporting on. So..yes...he the right to ask the question....just as people have the right to call him out for asking it in the first place.
