Agreed that Fisher has really coached up the talent. All of the coaches on our staff know how to "coach" as well as recruit, and it really shows. That entire OL with the exception of the younger player were 3* recruits that just worked hard. Their replacements have more talent, but not the experience

As much as we at A&M love to promote King, he is still unproven. What is not is the RB's - Spiller/Achane will be a pain for SEC defenses next year. And we have talent at WR, just need to see if they have the want to block and do all the other things that make a WR successful. Like little old 3* Anias Smith

I wasn't joking when I said Fisher was ahead of schedule. Those T10 recruiting classes are just now starting to becomee upperclassmen. The underclassmen are just as talented, so now we can begin to compete on an even talent level. Across the board, not just with the occasional superstar like Garrett or JFF.

I apparently thought more of Sumlin's recruits than most aggies. I didn't think the cupboard was bare when Jimbo got there. However, the football culture sucked to high heaven and it has also been as much about that as anything. It takes time to learn to win and this conference is merciless and makes you earn everything. If Jimbo doesn't feel he has the next man at QB, you will see the transfer portal heat up this offseason. That position is and always will be in his domain and level of expertise. That the big advantage that TAMU has.

Personally, I have no doubt, Jimbo can outcoach Kirby on his worst day.
