That’s what everyone says in interviews. I have yet to question someone on job hopping that didn’t tell me they were ready to settle down.

I can understand why the Hogs are butt hurt over this hire but let's get the facts straight.

- Wilks was 3 years with the Chicago Bears (2006–2008)
- Three years with the San Diego Chargers (2009–2011)
- Six years with the Carolina Panthers (2012–2017) including as arse. HC and DC.
- Was hired as the HC with the Cardinals then fired after only one season.
- Was hired as the DC of the Browns and let go when the injuries caused the defense to collapse late.

He took 2020 off (with pay) to carefully evaluate the next job he wanted to take and Eli Drinkwitz convinced him The Missouri Tigers were the best fit.

The best news is Mizzou has finally purged itself of the residue of the Odom malaise and with real NFL professionals on board should keep kicking Hog arse on the recruiting trail as well.
