re: Mizzou hiring Steve Wilks as DC

Knowing nothing about the man here are a couple of cold observations:
1. Although he apparently sucks as an NFL head coach he had two back to back NFL DC jobs before taking over the Cardinals. If you are doing a poor job as DC, you don't get asked to be a HC.
2. Unless he was fired from any of his previous positions mobility can indicate you are in high demand (with a reservation for lack of loyalty)
3. Although Dooley didn't work out so well, I do think having a coach with significant NFL experience would be a plus in recruiting. Let's face it, the 4 and 5 stars coming out of high school all believe they have what it takes to one day be playing on Sundays. If Wilks can sell them that he can coach them up to get there because he knows what it takes, that could be appealing to a kid.
