I think the biggest question is how well Sark can replicate Bama style success outside the Saban shadow.
Herman, for all the grief has received, consistently stacked up highly rated recruiting classes. Sark is supposedly an ace recruiter but that has not been the problem in Austin.
Sark's record as a head coach is decidedly mixed. I know that is probably influenced by his addiction issues and that he appears to have moved past. Still, after 7 years at two major programs he was not much more than .500 coach with a few Holiday Bowl appearances.
That is my curiosity . . . was he able to look brilliant coaching one of the best collections of talent in college football history?
I think a lot of this is why the initial reaction from the Longhorn fanbase was extremely negative on the hire. Vats of Kool-Aid have since been drunk.
